Smoked Tuna Dip

Ingredients

1 6oz. can American Tuna Smoked Albacore

1 cup cream cheese (I cheat and opt for the whipped, but feel free to stick with the classic)

1 cup sour cream

2 stalks of celery, minced fine

1 shallot minced fine

2 cloves garlic

Juice of a lemon

3 Tbsp. Dill – chopped fine

3 Tbsp Parsley – chopped fine

1 tsp Smoked Paprika

Kosher Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

A dash of Tabasco (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all prepped ingredients. Pour in that reserved smoky olive oil and stir until everything is well mixed and evenly coated.
  2. Add a generous pinch of kosher salt and a few cracks of black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  3. Optional- If you enjoy a bit of heat, add a dash of Tabasco sauce for a spicy, vinegary lift.

  4. Serve with thick-cut potato chips. crackers or pita chips.

  5. Feeling fancy? Thinly slice a baguette, brush the slices with olive oil, sprinkle with kosher salt, and toast in the oven until golden brown.
