Undercurrent News reported that American Tuna has joined the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) as a funding partner. For more than 20 years we have worked with traditional pole-and-line and troll fisheries, and in recent years extended those partnerships to fisheries in the Maldives and New Zealand.
As we told GSSI, the partnership “helps us demonstrate credibility, promote transparency, and support continuous improvement” across our supply chain and the fishing communities we buy from.
